Dr. Davoudi met with Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Dr. Abazari at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad. At the beginning of the meeting, he presented an overview of the university’s activities in Iraq and introduced its international capacities. He highlighted the organization of academic enrichment workshops—such as the workshop on the application of artificial intelligence in writing scientific articles, which was delivered during this visit at several Iraqi universities—as one of the university’s scientific priorities in Iraq aimed at implementing existing international cooperation agreements.
He further stated that the development and teaching of the Persian language is another key program currently being pursued by the university.
Dr. Davoudi also requested the Cultural Attaché’s support for launching joint academic programs with Iraqi universities, particularly at the master’s level inside Iraq.
In response, Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Dr. Abazari expressed satisfaction with the active presence of Imam Reza International University in implementing its agreements with Iraqi universities. He emphasized that academic workshops addressing the current needs of Iraq’s scholarly community—especially those on emerging topics such as artificial intelligence—are warmly welcomed by Iraqi universities. He added that the Cultural Section is prepared to facilitate connections between Imam Reza International University and several Iraqi universities to establish joint-degree programs.
