Important Notice for Non-Iranian Students of IRIU
According to the announcement from the Immigration Police, students must ensure they comply with the regulations regarding exit and re-entry. It is essential that they return to the Islamic Republic of Iran before the deadline specified in the stamped entry page in their passport.
If a student returns to Iran within 30 days of their last academic residency expiration, their residency will be extended after they sign a commitment (to adhere to the residency laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran). This commitment will be processed by the university’s consulate, recorded in the student’s residency file, and submitted to the Immigration Police.
However, if more than 30 days have passed since the expiration of the student’s last academic residency, the student must go through the entire visa and residency process again. Furthermore, they may face the risk of their visa not being approved by the Immigration Police, and the consequences of this will rest solely with the student.
