At the meeting, the Director of International Affairs of Imam Reza International University first presented a report on her recent visit to Uzbekistan and the programs conducted in Mashhad. She particularly highlighted the Persian language refresher course for faculty members of Samarkand University, which was hosted by Imam Reza International University. The meeting then focused on potential areas for joint cooperation, including Persian language education, faculty exchange, the organization of academic meetings and events, and the development and implementation of joint educational and research programs in the fields of architecture, urban planning, and Islamic-Iranian civilization. The participants emphasized the importance of leveraging the capabilities and expertise of both sides to further strengthen academic interactions. Given the valuable academic and cultural capacities of the two countries, as well as the growing interest among Uzbek academic institutions in Persian language education and studies related to Islamic architecture and civilization, hope was expressed that these consultations would pave the way for the conclusion of new cooperation agreements and the implementation of effective joint programs aimed at expanding the international academic relations of Imam Reza International University with Uzbek academic institutions.
